Aly-Sudoku 2006 by Ilkka Blom is an Excel worksheet for solving 9 x 9 Sudoku grids.
Thus Microsoft Excel is needed for using Aly-Sudoku.

1. Aly-Sudoku Properties

-Very user friendly with nice Excel graphics.
-The user can set the Help-grid On/Off.
-The single ("safe") hint digits are seen in the Help-grid (if wished).
-Several macros for filling sudokus quickly using keyboard or mouse.
-Automatic filling - the single hint numbers are copied to the sudoku once (x1) or 20 (x20) times.
Thus easy sudokus can be solved within seconds. All correct 9x9 sudokus can be solved within a few minutes.
-Pen color selection.
-Timer for measuring the solving time.
-English/finnish language selection.
-More sudokus and sudoku internet links in the Archives worksheet.

3. Sudoku solving examples

a) The original sudoku (black digits). The hint digits are seen at the left grid.
Write them to the sudoku grid (middle) by keyboard or mouse.
Or click x1 / x20 macros for quick filling!

b) All single ("safe") hint digits inserted (blue). Change pen color to red, for instance
and guess some digit of the 2 possibilities.

c) The underlined 1 guessed. After this fill again (x20 macro does this immediately).
You will see that the guess was wrong.

d) Since 1 was wrong, take back the red digits, insert 2 instead and fill until ready!
